Good people, helping good people in tough times

Who We Are

Our team was born out of research, need, necessity & understanding. We decided to utilise our decades of personal experience to just ‘chat over a cuppa’, to see if talking and sharing experiences will help.

We also sought ideas, help and advice across a multitude of fellow organisations and our potential clients. We built up months of planning, research and study trials.

This indicated people wanted a “lifeboat” between interventions from professionals when it just gets too much for them.

This is where we come in with empathy, hot drinks, biscuits, and a listening ear.

We are a charitable Community Interest Company, aiming to support & improve the mental health of the community and when needed to support the community wellbeing.

We compliment all other services, charitable & statutory alike, as a Level zero service provider as described in our local authorities Stepped Care Approach.

We talk, we listen, we offer a space where discussions can take place, we empower the client to make the sometimes, tough choices.

It is our experience, it must come from the person wanting to make the change; we talk and discuss tips & tricks that have helped us and may serve to give you hope, to help you through the tough times. We support, we share, we laugh, we cry but most importantly we enable & enpower.

Since its foundation in February 2018 as Myndful, RISE, has now actively responded to & prevented a multitude of clients and helped them from their darkest of times.

Our volunteers & support teams have enabled hundreds of clients to take their recovery back into their own hands.

Our senior Mindful Peer Support Volunteers can support out of hours (this must be validated by any professional who will be involved), again just
acting as that experienced friend, side by side as you need us.

We also attend health forums & networks with our fellow organisations across the sector to keep our team up to speed what is happening across the borough.

Our services are also available on a referral basis with all other services across our town so we can jointly work with you on your recovery. We have received referrals from various groups and have a proven track record in supporting our client’s needs.

We also offer a truly GDPR secure e-mail service for safe data transfer between ourselves, clients & referring partners.

What We Do

How We Help

Struggling to cope with your mental health? Why don’t you have a chat with somebody who has been there and come through it, someone who has been where you are and can have a chat to see how we can assist or signpost to someone who can help …

Confidential Telephone Support

We provide a fully supported telephone service with an online messaging system where our Mindful Peer Support Volunteer receives the voicemail messages as soon as they are left so we can react sooner rather than later.

Flexible Face to Face Support

We offer 1 to 1, family & group support. We can either attend the client’s home or provide a safe, secure space at one of many local centres, as desired by the client.

Positive Enablement

Our volunteers and support teams have enabled hundreds of clients. We are able to help you recover motivation, perspective and joy that you take forward in your life without the need to look back.

We Provide Care

We support clients when they are struggling with their mental fitness, as a friend with life experience. providing mindful peer support, free of charge at the point of delivery.

Impact Stories

Nicky - North West

would like to thx mark for today as just the one meeting has helped greatly. I know my mental health problems are not going to disappear over night but today’s been a massive help.

Jennifer - North West

Rise have been my saving grace. I don’t think I’d be here without them. The fact you can relate & they put things in the simplest terms and help you move forward. The team are amazing!!! Thank you so much for keeping on that path, even if it is baby steps

Steve - North West

I would just like to thank Rise and especially Mark Moran, in helping me fight my depression, anxiety and stress and without him, I wouldn’t have made such process in a short period of time. He is open and honest and therefore has gained my trust and he has a real understanding of what mental health means to people like myself. He is direct in his approach and he gives you a real understanding of what’s happened to you and how best to move forward. I would recommend RISE to anyone suffering with mental illness, I’m not out of the woods yet but can see the light and with Mark’s guidance I feel I can continue making process in order to cope and deal with my depression. He has been flexible in regard to our sessions and has also attended meetings that I’ve had to go to at short notice, he has acted as my representative in these meetings and without him, these meetings wouldn’t have been the success they have turned out to be. I owe him and RISE a lot.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
